   Two months ago my snake was trying to eat a rat which unaccountably exploded, spraying the inside of the tank with rat guts. I've cleaned everything twice, but to this day I swear I can still smell that rat.

      The Boy consoled me by telling me the story about how he accidentally exploded a chicken he was trying to feed to a boa constrictor.
