Did a 45km cycling trip today with ambient heat index peaking at 43°C (level: danger). It felt hot and the cross breeze varied between being cool and warm. Overall it felt comfortably hot rather than dangerously hot. I drank lots of water and had jack fruit as food.

Two years ago, I did a 56km cycling trip with heat index peaking at a 48°C and I was afraid that I might suffer from some heat related problem.

The day after: Lower right leg sore. Quite surprising as usually I don't get so sore after a 40km trip. May be I'm losing fitness due to irregular fitness routine.

Or perhaps the heat took more toll than expected.
