Jezza™@sooz This is actually RE: long-term storage, but mastodon.social apparently blocks noagendasocial.com. Old HDDs that "freeze" can often been made useful again by judiciously tapping them with a screwdriver handle (before powering them up!), as well as cooling them (in a freezer) before powering up -- be prepared to directly copy the data to a new unit. Engines can be prepared for long-term storage easily enough... and I wouldn't bet on any cloud service for long-term anything.
