aaaaaaaaaaaaah i really want a little honda rebel or like I dunno just a low displacement motorcycle

Cars are too heavy with poorly conceived of safety features and I need something I can have more fun with then a 3000 pound hunk of legislation with a 4 banger.

@cybermeow an older bike is exactly what you want, then.  motoring at its purist -- bikes are to cars what windsurfing is to yachts.

@awg I was thinking of finding myself a honda rebel to learn on, maybe moving up to a CBR600RR later.

@cybermeow the CBRs are sufficiently tame to learn on imo, and think you might wanna just skip the Rebel.  it's not like a Hayabusa or a Blackbird.

@cybermeow punchier, but not unruly.  I think you'll come to grips with it with quickly imho.  besides, if that's the vehicle you really want, why not train on it from day one?  you're not new to performance vehicles, so I really don't think you're going to be a goof about it like some people ...

@awg Maybe the CBR600RR will be the first bike I buy, but im probly gonna learn on a borrowed low displacement,

@cybermeow yeah, that's reasonable.  I just know a some people who bought a set of training wheels, and they all ended up trading them out for the bikes they wanted at a loss pretty quickly.  (Except for the one who went for a real rocket, they all said they prob could have skipped the starter bike, too.)  If you can use a loaner (any loaner) at minimal cost to you, that's a pretty great arrangement.
