@KitRedgrave That's was a good read and honestly kind of explains why so many ancaps are obsessed with cryptocurrency. They believe the lie that economics and capitalism are all about RATIONAL SELF-INTEREST and that everyone involved is a rational actor.
Were that actually the reality, the idea of a blockchain-based currency is really appealing, even though it still ultimately relies on trust, as per the article.

(I believe blockchain will solve certain problems, likely in weird distributed non-trust situations that don't relate to typical quotidian existence today)

@KitRedgrave also to be super clear the mindset of early blockchain people and their followers was hardcore libertarians.
they trust NO BODY. the blockchain worldview is theirs.
