      You also get steamed hams whenever goberment sells off more of our bands, or when someone uses their new Baofeng to spam the local repeaters

         @tomas Most of what you get on the local repeater here these days is swearing or people keying up over each other. So much drama, so little technical experimentation.

            @iona That's a shame. We get quite a bit of discussion, but most of it is over IRC or at the club over coffee. Our district is in northern Sweden, so it is quite small and everyone knows eachother. Biggest "drama" might be drunk guys on the repeater every now and then, but they know to switch to 145.550

            @iona Down south they're a bit steamed tho, some people have been abusing the repeaters so much that there was a national QTC about it
