@maloki I don't know the development of Mastodon,so please don't take this as a critique or support of the current situation. In general I think forks should be the last action if nothing else works.The community,the ecosystem and last but not least the software as such benefits most if you have a large contributor base working on the same software instead of everyone does his own little fork. In the long run this forks are most often not sustainable.
