      In einigen europäischen Ländern stehen UKW-Frequenzen kurz vor dem Aus oder wurden bereits abgeschaltet. In den USA hingegen boomt UKW, vor allem bei kleine Lokalradios. Mit eigener Sendeanlage betonen sie ihre Unabhängigkeit - vom Internet, aber auch von den großen Medienkonzernen.
