I believe the distrowatch 'page hit ranking' is nothing more than a measure of Linux distributions with poor web presence & SEO. e.g. Google for Linux Mint, Manjaro, Debian and Solus. All their distrowatch entries are typically on 1st page of results.
Ubuntu is around page 5, but is disproportionately clicked on probably due to popularity & brand awareness. So, Linux YouTubers, don't use distrowatch as a measure of popularity. It isn't that, at all.
