@Elizafox a large amount of trans people are anarchists. i'm a trans anarchist, my partners are trans anarchists, chelsea manning is anti-state and likely also a trans anarchist

you're saying this like we have no idea what anarchy will do about the marginalised

@Elizafox you clearly haven't seen how the marginalised use power. perhaps nobody has, because the goddamned system we have leaves little room for trans representatives

we just have to HOPE reps will decide to humour us and pay attention to anything causing us trouble

@Elizafox anarchy means no hierarchy. it means everyone is on equal footing to take part in community politics. it means everyone can bring their concerns to the table, everyone can be heard and actually bring about resolutions

and i guarantee you the general public isn't going to be as interested in community meetings and action as marginalised communities will be, with their lives on the line

@Elizafox look at what marginalised folks do in a system that works against them, compared to people who are backed by the system and hold seats in congress, and tell me trans people are going to be worse off in a society where they can represent and stick up for themselves

@Elizafox if there is a position of power to seize, the most privileged will always be the first to seize and abuse it.

without a hierarchy, this is less of a problem. and without hierarchy, we sure as hell would have plenty more people and resources to actually get things done, without power structures and bureaucracy to get in the way

trans people will never have proper representation under authoritarianism or democracy
