    I was wondering why the 10G link between the fileserver and the desktop didn't work after a kernal update - link was up but couldn't ping the server. So changed stuff a bit around. Turned out I plugged the connection into the wrong port on the file server when I redid my rack. Turns out it's mostly user error when things are not working
