When I set up my first #Freifunk router a couple of years ago, I liked the technical challenge.

Then, I was curious to see how many people would actually use it. Turns out up to 25 devices are connected at certain times of the day. The demand is huge.

These days, I more and more appreciate the VPN-based infrastructure, which gives every Freifunk user more anonymity than on a regular internet connection.

Please consider setting up your own Freifunk or #Openwifi router. They are highly needed.
