    The library is so good. All the books you want at no charge and you can request them online and they’ll get send to whatever library you prefer! Meeting rooms, you can go there and read or just chill... and people don’t want socialism?

      @rhymedirective The library is amazing, but it would never fly today. If it didn't already exist, capitalists would decry it as an affront to intellectual property and the only libraries that exist would be small ones, run by anarchist volunteers.

      @rhymedirective Amazingly, in New Zealand, which arguably implements a lot more socialism than the US, has a terrible library system. There's no concept of inter-library loans, and some books cost money to "borrow" (rent). So the US is, in a way, very progressive in its library system...and yet New Zealand has stuff like universal health care.
