   I'm reading a really good book about the concept of diversity right now, Eye-opener.

      @lain The original concept (different ancestries, sexes, economic backgrounds, etc for purpose of introducing different knowledge and ideas into the organization and improving organization's performance) or the metastatic perversion (different ancestries, sexes, economic backgrounds, etc for the sake of "representing diverse stakeholders")?
      
      Once we realize that social trends tend to come in waves (first one side, then the other), it won't take long to realize that diversity for the first purpose is likely to remain despite the ascendance of future waves of monocultural ethnocentrism. Diversity for the second purpose is likely to be washed away, taking down even many of us hired for our skills.
