@linux I think that we could say that Microsoft has turned around when they stop threatening to sure Linux companies for vague patent claims, then keeping the terms under NDA.
If they stop this, or make what is infringing clear so that the community can fix it, I might start to believe. Otherwise, it's just profiteering, or marketing.
