   I use a feature phone from an obscure Chinese brand - iTel 5600. Its battery lasts a week (I rarely talk). However I had trouble with importing contacts as it only allows 14 char name. But it costed me Rs.1000 (~$15). Tried another obscure brand by the name yxtel, but its phone was horrible.
   
   Someone I know brought a feaure nokia phone for Rs.2000, it seems good (don't know what model no though).

      Addendum: Typing SMS is horrible in my feature phone as it lacks a T9 predictive text mode.
