The open-source game "Battle for Wesnoth" is now distributed on the proprietary platform #Steam and on the site GamingOnLinux.com this is even worth a news. But is it really?

Let's have a closer look onto that: The game itself is distributed under the GPL, so a redistribution is not impossible. But there is also a signal coming up throughout software-packages distributed throughout this way. It says just the same as always: "Downloading and managing is not the problem, Steam is your friend!"

And that's all the way so wrong: #Steam is the same nonsense as every other client-software coming up with. Making the false promise to give the "user" the control. In fact you are renting the software and mixing up this with free, libre software is completely the opposite of what should be reached. #Not-Free-and-Libre #Stop-That
