   > When the show’s pilot first air on Fox, it was like nothing the American audience has ever seen on TV. The ratings were so high, that Fox decided to air the episode again and again back to back, in order to let people who have just heard of the show from panicked phone calls get a chance to see it live.
   
   > This was back when DVR’s and the Internet didn’t exist, so to make that kind of huge impression in just 20 minutes was unheard of. That night, April 5th, 1987, went down in TV history.

      How could you not know? I hear Al Bundy chanting the show theme every time my so drives me up the walls. Psycho Dad is where I gather my strength to carry on.
