iona 🐝@mkwadee I never understood why anyone would vote #UKIP - a party based around a single national issue - for local council elections, but they did.
We had Lab/Con/Lib/Green standing locally, but no one seemed to want to actually campaign. The safe-as-houses Labour councillor only pops out once every four years to get re-elected then promptly disappears.
I voted, because I always do, but this was one of the first elections where I thought - why am I bothering when they can't be bothered?
