I like that we keep celebration people's birthdays even after they have passed on. Because it doesn't ever stop being the anniversary of your birth. It goes on and on forever.

Since my grandmother passed we've actually decided to try to celebrate her birthday, as our remembrance off her rather than the day she left us. I like this thought.
