      @schestowitz I agree. In fact, Google was practising a lot of the stuff Facebook does today, e.g. having a deceptive advertising preferences’ page. In 2011, Google claimed you could opt out of preference-tracking—it was proven (by me, confirmed by the NAI) to be a lie. For the last few years, Facebook pulls the same stunt. Both services switch on things you have switched off regularly.
