    Microsoft Notepad has now been perfected. It supports CR and LF line endings, and has decoupled status bar and word wrapping. :-)

      @clacke WOW. Never thought I would see the day.

      Somehow, it's more difficult for me to believe that this is a feature MS actually does think is worth having and just couldn't get around to implementing for decades, than it was to believe for decades that they thought this wasn't a useful thing to add.
