Being able to program your own layout with QMK (:opensource:) which gives you neat fluff like tapping a key for one thing and holding it for another, which is something you can't live without once you tried. Tapping my Caps Lock and it function as the Escape key, but tapping and holding it momentarily activates my second layer.

For me 60% is more efficient than any larger layout that requires me to move my hands.
