Humans have always assumed that they're more intelligent than octopuses because they've achieved so much—internet-connected toasters, capitalism, wars and so on—whilst all the octopuses have ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, us octopuses have always believed that we're far more intelligent than humans—for precisely the same reasons.
