I'm about to bed down, so I won't get to interact about this in a timely fashion; but...

Have you crowdfunded medical expenses? What platform did you use? How was your experience?

Basically, I know my insurance won't pay for my (likely but not definite) affirmation surgery, claiming it is "experimental". So I want to learn what platforms are the most ethical.

This is pre research. I don't know my exact path yet, but need to start exploring possibilities.
