The biggest problem with social media is the removal of the idiot filter.

Out in public, at work, or in the pub, you usually need about 30 seconds with someone to determine they're a moron, and not worth listening to.

For some reason, this is completely absent on social media, and so you engage in conversations with people you'd wisely write off immediately in a face to face environment.
