      @katiekats @gameragodzilla So a friend of mine who writes for the local paper got to go to an advance screening of it and he described it to me as thus: 
      
      "You know how like, in the Last Jedi, there's that awkward middle section that makes no sense in context and basically just exists to pad out the movie and kill run time with characters you aren't given any reason to care about?  Solo is basically that but they're relying on you caring about Han already."

         Well it being a prequel, even if one does care about Han (which I mean, I do...at least as he is played by Ford, dunno 'bout new guy)
         
         Feels...a bit...how do I put this.
         
         The way it's described there sounds like even if you care about him as a character, it's a prequel, so he has to live, thus the story has to be good on it's own, and if it's awkward middle bit level, it shan't be.
