@gameragodzilla Its also dehumanising.  When I was in that beat, we knew the leaders and main people in the community and they us.  They were people.  But when they are the Other People, the enemy, and you never get to know them, then they're not humans to you, and it's easier to do questionable things to them.  Or straight up bad things as we've seen in a few places.
