Post that only people who know Warcraft lore and WoW will care about:
I've seen a lot of people saying the Blood Elves would be way more interesting if Kaelthas hadn't got writing-assasinated in the way he did during BC.
But...Lorthemar is still an interesting character, one of my personal favs, they just never fucking use him.
I don't know why people assume that if they'd not randomly murdered-off one character, that race would be written in more. They'd ignore Kaelthas just as much as they do Lorthemar now.
Plus, this is the arguably controversial bit. I prefer Lorthemar over Kaelthas, even when Kael was in his alleged pre BC "glory days"

Blizzard have either ended the story of, or fucked over, very nearly everything from the original games at this point. The idea that "if they'd not ended this one guy in this random occurence, their track record would change and they'd treat him well" is weird to me.
