So, Battlefield 5 trailer thing ...
I'm not against the idea of women protagonists in games, frankly I prefer playing them if I'm honest, since the other alternative tends to dig a bit into the mild gender identity issues I have and mostly just bury these days, but I feel Battlefield V's female protagonist is entirely there to be a marketing tool, and if that's not a form of objectification I don't really know what is. She's not there to have a meaningful story (I mean did you watch the trailer? its just a bunch of random action bullshit explosions), she's not there to be a player choice (far as I know you CANT play a guy even if you want to, thusfar, thus no choice), shes there to sell the game.
It's just as blatantly cynical as Tomb Raider having Lara Croft's rack front and center in the box design. It IS pornographic, just not in the same sense.
