    I'm seriously considering changing my website for a static site that I write from the ground up. However, I don't fancy writing every blog post in html. Is there a halfway house that will allow me to write in markdown and "export" to html?

      Hmm looks like Jekyl is the front runner here. I'll have to do some research in to it.

      May also consider a static site generator using WordPress...
