I go between every few months, of finding nearly all of it very repetitive and boring to me, to finding it pretty chill to watch and thus watching a shit-ton of it.
I honestly don't know what triggers this switch.

@katiekats He's good background noise if Im doing something else
Not really a guy I straight on watch though
The only things I actively follow are Ross's Game Dungeon, tweedvsworld, Jim Sterling, Ashens, and a couple of electrical/electronic channels

Yeah, think that hits the nail on the head so to speak.
I'll watch him and the NLSS casually in the background, thereby watching lots just cos it's on. Then I'll try and 'properly' watch it, and get bored.
Then a while later I'll think "hey I could put something on in the background" and start again.

@katiekats He's not even a bad content creator he's just VERY routine. He doesn't mix it up in his approach at all. You can watch one video and you'll have watched any of them in terms of format and style. There's an appeal to that, but it also makes the content very dull if you try to actively watch it in stretches. Meanwhile any of the creators I actively follow are all people who mix it up fairly decently across the series and keeps things interesting.

Mhm, I get that.
There's something nice and homely about something that stays the same or very similar, you'll 'always' be able to enjoy it, but it'll get dull after a time and you might want a break.
On the other hand, those who mix things up are always fresh and thus exciting, but then there's always the risk they take a step into something you dislike, and then you'll never really enjoy that section of content.
