There seems to be as many stories about the "correct" way to weld two pieces of metal as there are folklore tales from all the indigenous people of the world
Same for the "correct" way to start a fire, make soup/stew, chop firewood, select a programming language, build a tent, make soap etc... etc...
What is about human nature that makes us "discover" the one-true-way and proclaim it gospel
Why is it so hard to admit there's more than one right answer for some things
