    @jk it's weird how sata ssds in the 2.5" form factor (standard laptop size) often have more empty space in the casing than components because flash storage is super tiny compared to hard disks

    in fact, sata ssds can get to be as small as a laptop wifi card

      @jk here's a good image. older ssd on the right with a larger pcb, on the left is what many current 2.5" ssds look like (ones with 3d nand)
