The full explanation with the Greg Ellis stuff. Is that he's a voice actor, voices Cullen in the Dragon Age series. Has a lot of Cullen Fangirls, it's probably his 'known' role.
Week or so ago he started tweeting about a new role, NDAs, trying to hype things up. Dropping hints like "the companies name has [letter] in the name..." each tweet.
All of these things seem to be linking to a Blizzard thing, but conviniently enough, also would match up with Bioware.
So of course, Cullen fans got excited.
Eventually just the other day, he tweeted that if he got 10k twitter followers, he could release information, and even tagged it with a Cullen fangirls hashtag.
Naturally some fans went "what the fucks up with this?"
So high ups in Bioware had to come out and say "this is nothing to do with us, we have no clue what he's doing"
Since he clearly stepped over the line with that last tweet, he deleted it, apologized for 'confusion' and that's that.
Basically, end of the day. He seems to have a small role in WoW's next expansion, so his tweets were about Blizzard. But he deliberately angled them to look like Dragon Age, to try and get himself attention.
Eventually he 'flew too close to the sun' so to speak, and gave Mark Darrah (executive producer of Dragon Age) the chance to essentially tell him how stupid he's being.
TLDR: Both companies are probably now rightfully pissed at some idiotic voice actor deliberately manipulating his fanbase for attention, and dragging them both into a mess they never agreed to.

Reading up on the Dragon Age Reddit, apparently he's got a bit of a past history of publicity stunts for his own gain as well.
That utterly stupid man.
Voice acting can add a lot to a character, yes. But some VA's need to learn that people are fans of the character, not inherently -you- so you doing stupid shit to hype up whatever you're next in, or to pull attention to yourself, is going to piss anyone off, whether they like your past roles or not.

This debacle is why, while I know of the existence of some voice actors and what roles they play. I generally try not to pay attention to them outside of their characters.
Cos a lot of them misjudge "fans of their characters" to be "fans of them as a person" and that's just...not true.

Tho yes Greg Ellis does seem to be one of the most stupid out there.
