@camoceltic
To play sort of Devils Advocate here.
While the RNG should definitely be more balanced and the percentages shouldn't lie.
I don't inherently think there's issue with it's existence, or the enemies sometimes having advantage.
Half the fun of Xcom, for a lot of people. Is that sometimes you will lose people, sometimes you will be unlucky and things suddenly turn south. Sometimes panic will set in, or your best squaddie will be zombified.
It creates 'moments'
And not all 'moments' have to be good ones. Sometimes the most fun in those games is when suddenly things go south, the aliens fuck you over, and that gets your heart racing to figure out how you can still correct things, to be reliant on every shot hitting, and that extra panic, or that utter joy, depending on if it does or not.
RNG can be frustrating yes, and I completely understand the dislike of it. But...without it, or at least without it sometimes favouring the baddies. It'd be a completely regular tactics game with none of the same suspense or afformentioned moments.
Better for some, sure. But it's those 'moments' of both joy at somehow turning things from the brink, that panic of the aliens getting the drop on you, that you remember.
This is purely devils advocate playing, I'm unsure-ish m'self on any particular full 'side' on it.

I addressed that almost immediately in the second sentence "While the RNG should definitely be more balanced and the percentages shouldn't lie" tho, so with respect, you've not fairly taken my point. I have no issue with disagreement, I was playing devils ad, but...ignoring the second sentence to take things out of context is... :c

Nothing I said disagrees with what you're currently saying. I directly addressed that I agree with what you're currently saying, in the second sentence. So...I'm not sure what this is about.
