BrainBlasted (moved)@Laurelai Communication is a major issue for me. Currently from what I know, Mastodon uses a Discord guild to handle chat within the development community, with Patrons getting access. Closing off valuable chat channels to people who pay rubs me the wrong way, and it is especially frustrating that communication is done on a closed, centralized platform. I would hope a fork used something like (preferably) Matrix or IRC, maybe even Mattermost.
