"Why I Hope BioWare's 'Anthem' Is Secretly A 'Mass Effect' Game"

    No. Just, no.

Anthem might be bad, it might be good. Honestly dunno yet.

But it deserves the shot to be it's own thing.

New releases should only ever fail for not being good in it's own right.

Shouldn't be lambasted for "not being the old thing" because they're not -trying- to be the old thing.

To take us to the Fallout:76 thing, people aren't too excited for that cos it's got the Fallout name on it. So if it's totally different and not in a way they like, it's still a part of the Fallout series.

Hell, with Andromeda, much as I personally liked it. Those who didn't like it because it was so radically different from the original trilogy, does make some degree of sense. It's still got the Mass Effect name on it, so it's compared.

With Anthem...it's not in a series. If it ends up doing things -badly- then fair enough. But it shouldn't be judged purely on "it's not [this thing it has no link to]"
