iona 🐝@ND3JR I broadly agree. While I'm in support of same-sex marriage because I believe everyone has the choice to run their lives however they like, I feel like the debates and celebrations kind of sucked air out of other issues affecting LGBTQ people.
There was very much a sense that "we've got equal marriage now, we're done" when there are still a lot of marginalised people. I never want to marry, and I feel invisible when surrounded by celebrations of romantic love and sex.
