idk how i never panicked about my phone potentially getting water damaged before i got one that is completely waterproof

and i mean, my last phone died because of water damage. and coincidentally the new phone i wanted ended up to be my first waterproof one.

technically the xperia z2 is waterproof but both ones i've owned have ended up either being repaired or needing repairs which compromised the seal

the first one i had i bought with a broken screen and had it replaced by someone else because i didn't have the spoons for it. replaced it again myself once the phone started bugging out only to realise the phone was water damaged by the previous owner somehow and the gpu fried itself very slowly

i never trusted the phone to be waterproof anyway considering the nature of the waterproofing doors around the ports which coincidentally left the internals wide open to water damage if the doors didn't seal properly. and those doors never liked to stay in place.

a normal phone is probably better protected from water than that one
