   i won the game earlier via a science victory. everyone was as angry with me as they could possibly get without going to war with me...because they had all already gone to war with me and lost half their civs.

   except australia. i don't think i even interacted with them beyond getting denounced every other turn and scrubbing their religion from a couple cities

   i was actually in the lead in every way possible but i've never gotten a science victory, and that was the easiest, so yeah.

      one thing i've noticed with civ 6 is that you really absolutely want to get a religion because forgetting about religion is the #1 way i lose. and when i do start one, i'm usually neck and neck with another player for most of the game.
