      Gilmore is funny because sometimes his attempts at satire are just, like, yes, actually this should happen unironically (not this one). Like when he made the case for disbanding the Canadian military and replacing it with an emergency response/disaster recovery team. He thought he was being absurd, but it was pretty close to an actually good idea.
