   remember the interstellar selfie station? it was a web/phone app that let you take pictures very similar to gameboy camera

   it's been since taken down without a trace or reason as to why, and i wanna bring it back since no other phone app currently gets the aesthetic quite right like it did

   i already have a prototype for the filter (it's really simple tbh) working realtime in processing but i can't into phone apps (and no processing for android doesn't help)

   wanna help?

      this is like. super important to me not only because the game boy camera is hella aesthetic but also because

      when the demo for iss came out, i was nowhere near passing

      but the low resolution and high contrast of the selfies were a good way of masking that. even better than apps like b612 because they went past the edge of looking like you didn't want to seem like it had a filter into the real of being so filtered it was an intentional aesthetic

         so like. a lot of my early selfies i actually liked were made with this app

         and the creator is a trans woman too and i wouldn't be surprised if she hadn't thought of that aspect of the app and i have no idea why she took it down. she's so secretive about it it sounds like she's under an nda. it was released in 2014 and taken down in 2015 so like 3 years ago

         that's one of the reasons why i want to remake it so bad, because of how important it was for me then
