played a bit of jalopy for the first time. charming game. leaves a little to be desired, mostly when it comes to controls. but the concept of driving a car that you can tear down and piece back together, and are required to maintain, is kinda cool.

not sure if the copy i have is up to date nor have i played much but it feels like it's lacking personal touches like being able to paint your car, keep stuff on your dash, etc.. it's hard to feel attached to a car that has no personal touches

i think the thing that bugs me the most is the lack of feedback between what you do and what you experience. it feels like i'm not really driving, just floating across a road. the game is too quiet and there's not a lot of physical signs of any durability troubles or environmental affects.haven't hit a pothole yet but at least the puddles do have a splash to them. the rain has a bit of atmosphere to it but it doesn't quite feel like rain.
