      @dr1ft@cathoderay.tube At home (the only place where naming is my choice), I used #Star_Wars character names until a few years ago. Now I semi-randomly choose a word from a site like dictionary\.com.

      I don't have a naming scheme. I name them various things based on what's on my mind at that time. Some names I have used are hrrol (the name of a character in the game Geneforge), styx (the name of a character from the game Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdodm Sim), steel, glass, veteran and thebooleanextension.
