    The nazis in #germany wouldn't been able doing the Shoah (the #holocaust) without support from society

    They knew about the concentration camps. There where public discourse in large scale about. People could see mass deportations, forced labour and dead bodies
    It was accepted or hailed to since those being deported where the 'bad ones', or illegal, and the goverment was doing something against for it's society

    may they didn't been aware of the scale and where it leads to

      in 2000s I was friends with this cool Professor chap (alas no longer alive) who worked for Philips and and helped design mobile phone networks across Europe.

      His family were originally from Bayern but all got split up after WW II (his side first moved to NL then to UK)

      in the last few months of his life he told me a load of true stories about what really went on and how he feared it could still happen again..) >>
