   Who is organizing a "solidarity with the neighborhoods" tech workers walkout until the industry stops gentrifying neighborhoods?

   I'm spitballing, but I'm also serious.

   This isn't the first time this has happened; the late 1990s in SF and Seattle, same thing.

   If you feel bad about it, take it from someone who worked full time in tech back then:

   They've done it before, they're doing it now, they'll do it again if people let them. Tech workers especially.

      If you're thinking "not my problem" or even "I'd love to, but I can't": rest assured that they will dump you out on your butt the moment things fall apart again, just like they did in 2000-01, and (globally) in 2008-09 because of the subprime crash.

      If you *really* can't, I understand, but this is the reality. It's in your interest as well to strike.
