dschornoStephen Fry in my book just made an interesting connection between word rhymes and metaphors/similes ("rhyming concepts"). Parroting the ribbonfarm writing course a little bit, the connection seems like Schmidhuber style compressibility/interest: https://arxiv.org/abs/0812.4360. Lame rhymes and lame metaphors are just ones that don't offer new compression.
