During yesterday's Canada Day celebrations at the Alberta Legislature grounds, there was a moment in which the indigenous dancers were performing and teaching and talking of healing, and people from all colours and cultures were watching and listening and laughing at the dad jokes, and it was the perfect encapsulation of what this country could and should be, one day, if we can decolonize this land.

@ink_slinger there was floor space at pier 21 in hfx with indigenous performers who were gathering everyone around to join in the songs with 2 or 3 mi'kmaq leading the group.

there were probably 30-40 people of every background dancing and singing out loud as the songs went on, really felt magical.
