If I install a Linux Distro on my main PC, I have nothing but issues. I assume it's because of my hardware - mainly my graphics card.

So I'm thinking about replacing it. I currently have the following:

    AMD FX 6300 6 core 3.5GHz
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 610
    8 GB RAM

Thinking about replacing the GT with something like a Radeon R7 240. Being AMD, will that improve the compatibilty with Linux? I'm hoping it will.

I'm not much of a gamer, so this card should be sufficient for me - Minecraft. That's it.

@kev as I recall, a certain Mr. Torvalds( first name eludes me) gave them(Nvidia) the finger and told them to procreate with themselves. Just saying.
